There intro described the topic and the speaker but it was not engaging. They mostly stayed on topic but they did talk about milk and cookies at one point in the podcast. It had really good volume and was rehearsed smoothly. I really enjoyed the podcast because they knew what they were talking about and it was very clear. It made me want to put certain sounds in my podcast and I learned how to do the proper intro and conclusion.

Safety of Lowering The Drinking Age Alcohol is the drug of choice in America; more young people have tried alcohol more than any type of tobacco product or any other drug. There are 10.1 million underage drinkers in the United States, 39% of current 8th graders, 58% of 10th graders, 72% of 12th graders, and 85% of college students have tried alcohol. As well as lowering the drinking age would create more safety for college students. Stopping young people from consuming alcohol doesn't stop them from drinking, but it does make drinking much less safe. Instead of drinking at a bar, for example, students drink in their dorm rooms or at parties, where they are much less likely to be supervised and where drinks can be spiked with drugs. If someone gets alcohol poisoning, the people around them are most likely not going to call for help because underage drinking is illegal. Most college students are unable to buy, so the lack of a reliable supply makes underage drinkers more likely to drink way too much when it is available. American 18-year-olds have the right to vote, marry, buy guns and join the military. They're responsible enough to defend their country, decide elected officials and serve on a jury, but not regulate their own desires? They deserve the chance to learn. New York Times stated “We don't hand teenagers car keys without first educating them about how to drive. Why expect 21-year-olds to learn how to drink responsibly without learning from moderate models, at home, and in alcohol education programs?”. Learning how to drink responsibly before someone just get handed the privilege will reduce the amount of irresponsible drinking once someone hits the age of 21. As long as it is done right, lowering the drinking age is a smart decision. Teaching young adults now would be super beneficial for the future with personal safety. Some states New York Times says such as Ohio, allows alcohol consumption in establishments by minors when parents are present; most allow parents to serve alcohol to their children in their own homes. All states have penalties for fake id possession, sale, or use, and most consider this a felony. Even so, many high school and college students report that they have a fake id for purposes of obtaining alcohol. Allowing young adults to drink alcohol without them having to hide it or fake their age will make the curious young adults safer when consuming alcohol. Across the ocean in Europe, the laws are much different, people at the age of 16 are able to drink alcohol to an extent. 16 year olds are only aloud to drink with their meals and it has to be purchased and drank with adult supervision at all times. Giving them the privilege to drink with limitations at a young age teaches them how to be responsible while they drink when the become adults. Alcohol is everywhere in the world today, in medicines, drinks, cleaners etc, If we just allow adults today to teach the young adults the most responsible way to consume alcohol and the correct alcohols to drink, we won't have to worry about irresponsible young adults getting alcohol poisoning, or misbehaving when consuming alcohol. There is always a way to get alcohol, why not learn and know the effects first, rather than over drinking and getting poisoned.

Mini Argument on lowering the drinking age to 18.

Gender neutral pronouns
The order change in the english language has been modified for all types of gender. Now we aren't just talking about the two he or she as the pronoun, we have modified it to they. The pronoun he use to be known as the male, today we can no longer use the pronoun he as it has been modified to they. “She” has been modified the same way, we no longer call a female as a she due to the modification of they. We no longer use the pronouns he, she because people today don't always identify as a boy or a girl. Personally I believe that switching up the English Language is not fair to everyone in the united states and is really confusing for generations of people. With the older generations today, it will be super hard for them to make that transition since since they have been using the same “he” “she” since they could talk. Also, modifying the english language will make it a lot more difficult than it already is for other cultures that are coming / are in the united states already. Modifying the english language is way too challenging for our generations today, and can be disrespectful to many people that prefer the pronoun “he” “she”.
Podcast vs Essay
There are multiple different drafting ways that a linear essay and a podcast storyboard are similar. One way both are similar is when you are outlining, in both you need to come up with ideas on what ideas are going where. When you start to write an essay you figure out what is going into each paragraph, it is similar to a podcast because you have to find out where you are going to put what you are saying in a certain order. However when you are writing an essay you don’t have to worry about music or different sounds. In a podcast you have to consider these elements. In an essay you have to use more statistics and background information to get your argument across. In a podcast you can use your voice and background music to really set the tone of the argument. Also, in a podcast the information you get is usually from another person you are talking to, so you have to arrange times when you are both available and that is difficult. Well writing an essay, you use research from the internet to back up what you are arguing. Overall there are many similarities and differences with podcast and linear essays.
